The guy from Orleans is the new congressman for our old 'hood! And not only is he moderately famous, he's a HIPPIE! Love it! I had no idea he'd been on The Colbert Report (I only usually watch it until "The Word", then go to bed)...I will have to catch the rerun this evening!

So we apparently live in an exciting new world where an amazingly liberal woman is two heartbeats away from the presidency. (Is it mean to think that she's actually only one heartbeat away?) I am cautiously optimistic about the current political situation...we've just been so downtrodden for the last six years, you know?

Oh, and mad props to Cathy's officemates for putting the final nail in Rumsfeld's coffin!
