I am enjoying some yogurt and an adult beverage after a very long day. Mark woke me up at about 12:30 last night because I was snoring, so I moved to the couch, where I woke up in considerable neck and shoulder pain, and very confused after a rather, um, vivid dream about a guy from my old neighborhood. Other than that we have a lot of mutual FB friends, I have NO IDEA where this came from.
[FB sidebar: the annoying person I mentioned last week is ALL OVER my feed for some reason. I don't want to have to hide him/her--and honestly, we would all be better served if I just stayed off FB! I do want to crowdsource some preschool options, but since my aura is apparently detrimental to the operation of Windows (I did get the old laptop from work today, but I'm not taking a lot of chances)--and I refuse to install FB on my phone, maybe I will just cool it for a while after tomorrow.]
I just made reservations for our anniversary dinner online. Welcome to the Twenty-First Century! My cousin is coming to watch Rosina (they are going to have a LOT of fun!), making this our first date night since...the summertime, I think. The night of the Wait, Wait, Don't Tell Me movie theater simulcast. We definitely need to do it more often. Ugh, I just feel like the last six months have alternated between very busy and decidedly shitty (illness, bad weather, grueling/disappointing travel). I know that was when my job started getting crazy, and when I got the first cold of the season--from which my sinuses have yet to recover.
Speaking of which, I did finally make an appointment with that new doctor today. Unfortunately it's three weeks out, so I finally broke down and made a massage appointment for this weekend. I have been dealing with this shoulder crap since Christmas--enough! No wonder I'm so damn grumpy all the time! O_o
Other news: we have learned almost all of the Bollywood choreo, with more than a month to go. On my way out I saw a tiny frog. I should've taken a picture--Rosina is really into frogs right now, and she was very excited to hear about it. It was smaller than a palmetto bug! I think I could almost handle having tiny frogs living under the chimney. As long as I didn't find them in the toilet, or in my kettle! :/
Selfie: I took this one on my way out of the car, listening to a new "New Rock" station. (It's from one of those soulless radio conglomerates, but they are actually filling an underserved market niche, at least.) I like that they throw in some Foo Fighters and Beastie Boys for the oldsters, and they even played Lorde today! When I took this, there was a song on by one of those bands that wS heavily influenced by Blink-182. I think you know what I mean...
